Folk music evening
31 January On 31st of January, the Vievis Culture Centre hosted a series of concerts of amateur art groups "Šitam dideliam būry" (This Big Band), dedicated to folk music collectives. During the event, various folk music and dance performances were presented to the audience.
Four bands performed on stage. The first to make an impression was the folk music band "Pylimėlis" of the Vievis Culture Centre (leader Ona Nenartavičienė), whose melodies warmed and uplifted all the participants. The Vievis women's folk dance group "Verpstė" (leader Nijolė Leonavičienė) also performed and impressed with their dance moves. The dancers of the Vievis Traditional Dance Club, led by Dijana Petkevičienė, performed energetic dances that showed the true roots of folk culture.
The event was crowned by the guests - the vocal ensemble "Pinavija" (leader Aleksas Vasiliauskas) of the Bijūnai Multifunctional Centre of Trakai district, which performed beautiful and emotional Lithuanian songs.
It was not only an evening of ensembles, but also a chance to enjoy the sounds of folk music and dance rhythms.
