Protection of personal data
The Bijūnai Universal Multifunctional Centre of Trakai District processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC).
You have the right to:
- Receive information about the processing of your personal data;
- Access to your personal data that is stored;
- Request the rectification of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- Request erasure (right to be forgotten) of personal data;
- To object to the processing of any personal data relating to a specific case;
- Request to restrict the processing of your personal data;
- Receive your personal data in digital format and transmit it to another controller ("data portability").
These rights help to ensure that information about an individual is correct, that it is only accessible to those who have the right to access it and that it is used only for legitimate purposes.
Procedures for exercising personal rights
- In order to exercise the above-mentioned rights, a person may submit a written request to the administration of the Bijūnai Multifunctional Centre of the Trakai District (in person, by post, by a representative, or by means of electronic communications) at Mokyklos g. 2, Bijūnų k. LT-21280, Trakai District or by e-mail bijunuudc@gmail.com, tel. 0 528 44582
- The request must be legible, signed by the person, and include: the person's name, place of residence, contact details and information on which of the above rights he/she wishes to exercise and to what extent.
- The administration of the Bijūnai Multifunctional Centre in Trakai district shall reply to the person no later than within 14 days from the date of submission of the request.
Personal rights are not absolute
The law may provide for exceptions where the controller may not exercise the rights of the individual/data subject:
- When it comes to national security or defence;
- When it comes to public order, the prevention, investigation, detection or prosecution of criminal offences;
- When it is necessary to safeguard important economic or financial interests of the State;
- When it comes to preventing, investigating and detecting breaches of official or professional ethics;
- Where it is necessary to ensure the protection of the rights and freedoms of the individual (data subject) or of other persons.
Personal data breaches and appeals
If a person considers that his/her rights as a data subject have been violated or wishes to obtain more information on the processing of personal data, he/she may contact the Data Protection Officer of the Bijūnai Multifunctional Centre of Trakai District by phone: 0 528 44582, e-mail: bijunuudc@gmail.com
The Data Protection Officer must ensure the secrecy or confidentiality of the performance of his or her tasks.
